    1. Eating too much healthy food

Yes, that is a mistake. Healthy foods cannot be that healthy when you do not eat them in moderation. It does not mean that fruits and vegetables can be eaten without even taking portions. Even when healthy food have a lot of nutrients and have lesser calories than other foods, they still contain calories, as well as starch and sugar. If you are guilty of this, better stop now than committing the same mistake throughout your healthy eating habit.

    2. Failing to count the calories of your drink

Counting your calorie intake is one of the effective ways to maintain or even lose your weight. But have you ever experienced counting your calories yet your weight still increases? That is because you do not count the calories of the beverages you drink. Many beverages have a lot of calories. Just think of milkshakes.

    3. Consuming a lot of protein

Substituting carbohydrates with protein has always been a trend. Some however are addicted to protein and tend to eat too much of it. Overloading on protein can result to weight gain. The body needs protein, but when it does not need them already, they eventually become fat.

    4. Ways of cooking healthy foods

Organic foods are healthy. But once you put them in the fryer, oven or pot, they can become unhealthy. Frying vegetables reduces the vitamins and other nutrients they contain. The calories in oil, butter, and other spices make them unhealthy. Boiling these healthy foods in water also diminishes the nutrients they have. So if you want to boil the vegetables but you do not want the nutrients to go away, make a soup. Transforming them into soup will let you consume the nutrients of the healthy foods. You can also just steam the vegetables instead of boiling them.

    5. Depending on supplements

Supplements only supplement. They should not be taken solely. Here is an alternative, you can ditch the supplements, and get the nutrients they promise from fresh foods. In this way, you are sure that what you are eating is healthy. You can even transform these healthy foods into delicious home-cooked meals! With this, you will know what is in your meal, instead of taking supplements where you are not sure if they have secret ingredients. Plus, you can save money from eating foods rather than buying supplements, which are most of the time expensive.

These are just some of the mistakes people commit when they want to eat healthy. If you want to start healthy eating or if you are into it already, you might want to consider these things. Make healthy eating a lifestyle rather than just to lose weight or to look good. Eat healthy and be healthy. Have a healthy eating without making any mistakes!
